1 pound fresh picked Strawberries
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

Remove the stems and hulls from your berries with a paring knife.
Rinse berries under cold running water.
Cut berries into small pieces and place in a medium sized sauce pot.
Add sugar.
Add cornstarch.
Add lemon juice. Stir together well.
Place pot over Medium heat on stove top.
Add a Tablespoon or two of water if your berries are low in juice.
Stirring constantly, bring the berries to a low boil.
Reduce heat to Medium-Low, stir often and let the syrup thicken up. About 5 minutes.
Remove from heat when syrup has thickened.
Set aside to cool.

Add more sugar if needed, depending on how sweet your berries are.
