A delicious warm beverage to serve to your family and guests over the Christmas holidays. Easy one pot recipe that smells as delicious as it tastes.
1 quart Pineapple Juice, unsweetened
1 quart Apple Cider
1 can Apricot Nectar, 11.5oz
1 cup Orange Juice
2 sticks of Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Whole Cloves
1 Red Delicious Apple, optional
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
Place the pineapple juice in a heavy Dutch oven style pot.
Add the apple cider
Add Apricot Nectar
Add orange juice. Stir well.
Add cinnamon sticks.
Add whole cloves. Place cloves in apple if using one.
Add nutmeg. Stir well.
Place over Medium-High heat on stove top. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Remove and discard cinnamon sticks and cloves when finished.
Garnish with fresh cinnamon sticks, orange, apple, or lemon slices. Store leftover wassail in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Make a day or two ahead of time if desired, then place on stove top to warm up just before your guests arrive.
