Buy Local - Support Our Farmers

NEWS:  We’ve added a new Feature to our website called “Buy Local.”

It’s a page where you can find some of our local farms and gardeners that will be offering all types of locally grown fruit and vegetables throughout our area.  From fresh local strawberries to potatoes, tomatoes, free range eggs and goat meat, we’ve got a pretty good start on the season.

We’ve been asking our radio program listeners to provide their information on what they will be offering and we’ve dedicated a special part of our Taste of Southern website to them.  And, while it’s not a full listing of what’s available around home, it’s a list of folks that support our on-air program.  We’re not allowed to broadcast their information on the program so we’ve created this special section to spotlight what they offer.

Click on over to our Buy Local page and check it out.  These folks work long hard hours to produce these fruits and vegetables and we really need to support their efforts as much as we can.  Not only will you get some great fresh products, you’ll be helping them to keep up their great work.  It’s a win-win situation for us all.

I highly encourage you to Buy Local as much and as often as you can.  You can cook fresh meals right away or maybe you plan on doing some canning and freezing.  Think about these folks when you go out shopping and pick up some goodies soon.  From farm to table….it’s going to be good.

We’ve also included some local artisans that do various handcrafts as well.  We’ll keep expanding the list as we gather more information.  If you’d like to see someone listed, have them contact us.  It’s all absolutely FREE for them.

You’ll find the link in the Navigation Bar at the top of each page here at Taste of Southern.

Be Blessed!!!
